In the residential area of Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh state, a disturbing incident occurred: a leopard suddenly appeared in the yard of a private house near Crisant Water Park. This situation caused panic among residents of the entire area, but fortunately, there were no reports of injured people or pets.
After receiving the information, a team from the forest service quickly arrived at the scene and began a search operation. Specifically, the leopard was spotted sitting in the yard of a house located opposite Crisant Water Park. The homeowner, noticing the wild animal, managed to remain calm and recorded a video on his mobile phone.
This video quickly spread across social media. The recording clearly shows the leopard in the yard, and after some time, it moves in another direction. Upon close examination of the video, red marks resembling wounds or blood are visible on the animal's head, raising suspicions that the leopard is injured.
Information from the Director of Forestry
Due to the seriousness of the incident, the Director of Forestry (DFO) of Indore, Lal Sudhakar Singh, provided details about the situation. He reported that the department received notification of the incident around 9:15 AM, after which a team of forest rescuers was immediately dispatched to the location.
According to the DFO, the team conducted a thorough search in the specified area and its surroundings, but as of now, no other clear evidence of the leopard's presence has been found besides the video footage, including paw prints. There are many dense bushes and trees near the site.
It is also noted that Ranbhanwar Beat is located within one and a half kilometers of this spot within the Indore forest division, suggesting that the leopard might have gotten lost by leaving this area and entering the residential area. The forest service emphasizes that the true health condition of the leopard will only become clear after it is captured or directly examined. If it is confirmed that the animal is injured, it will be safely evacuated after receiving necessary medical care.
