The city of Nukus, which is the center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, was founded in 1932. In connection with the city's 60th anniversary, an essay titled 'My Love, My Youth, Nukus!' by writer Shaudirbay Seitov was published in the newspaper 'Erkin Qarakalpakstan' on November 28, 1992.
