Rachel Colis' Documentary Tour 'Falling Forward' Heads to London

Entrepreneur Rachel Colis plans to expand her documentary tour 'Falling Forward' beyond South Africa, bringing the documentary experience to London audiences in November.

Colis and the Falling Forward Foundation announced that the event will take place in the British capital on November 19. In a video posted on Instagram, Colis stated: 'We will be there on November 19 and cannot wait to be in the same room with all of you. It will literally be the best evening.'

The London performance will be organized by Nkatheko, known as Takkis, a South African creator residing in the UK. Through her platform Rockingnheels, Takkis uses dance to create spaces where women can feel strong, supported, and celebrated.

The Foundation noted: 'We look forward to the energy and spirit she will bring to the evening, and we want to hear more about her own story, her journey, and what moving forward looks like for her.'

The event will bring together Colis, Takkis, and the Falling Forward community for an evening of connection, conversation, and reflection.

The stop in London marks an international chapter for the tour, which began in East Cape in March. The 'Falling Forward' documentary tour officially launched on March 4 at the Gai Butler Theatre in Monument in Makhanda. This event included a screening of Colis' personal documentary film, followed by a fireside chat co-moderated by author and entrepreneur Samke Mkhlongo.

The first leg of the tour covered five cities in South Africa: Makhanda, Gqeberha, Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. Colis later reported that over 4000 people attended the first tour, with four out of five shows being sold out.

The main theme of the tour focuses on concepts such as resilience, identity, and recovery after life events, prompting the audience to consider the meaning of moving forward in their own lives. With the London event, Colis is extending this conversation to South Africans living abroad and to a wider international audience.
