Chapter Home, a technology-driven company with an omnichannel sales model for home and kitchen goods, has raised 63 crore rupees through a combination of equity and debt financing. Investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, influencer Tanmay Bhat, and a group of private offices, with further commitments planned for future growth.
Chapter Home was founded in 2025 by individuals such as Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain, and Dheeraj Goyal. These founders previously worked on the team creating and managing PharmEasy (API Holdings) and left their former positions last year to launch Chapter Home. The funding round valued the company at nearly 1000 crore rupees.
The raised capital will be used to strengthen product development, enter new categories, and invest in technology and brand building. Furthermore, the funds will go towards scaling omnichannel distribution, including developing the company's first physical points of presence.
Founders' View on the Market
Nitin Chugh, co-founder of Chapter Home, noted that the Indian home and kitchen goods market remains highly fragmented despite representing a very large consumer opportunity. He added that consumers are increasingly looking for products with better design, proven quality, reliable functionality, and an excellent overall experience both online and in stores, seeing this as a significant opportunity to meet these needs.
Chapter Home is creating focused consumer brands across various categories to meet the needs of Indian consumers in the home and kitchen space. These categories include bedding and tablecloths, tableware, home decor items, and small kitchen appliances. All of this operates on a common platform for supply chain, content, technology, and distribution. The company uses artificial intelligence in all aspects of its business—from cataloging and content to demand forecasting, product assortment, customer targeting, and retention.
The company's goal is to combine strong product development, sourcing, and brand building with omnichannel distribution through marketplaces and quick shopping platforms, its own D2C channel, and offline retail. Chapter Home launched the home goods category first, introducing the brand HOKIPO, a leading online home goods brand. Anant Vidur Puri, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, commented: 'Chapter Home's approach to creating a focused brand for every part of the home on a common technological, sourcing, and distribution foundation aligns with how this market actually works. The founders previously scaled a complex consumer business at PharmEasy, and starting with the profitable base of HOKIPO gives them a rare combination of operational depth and financial discipline.'
