A tragedy occurred in the Bagatsky district of Khorezm region: four members of one family died—the mother and her three minor daughters. The press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov, informed 'Gazeta' about this situation.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place on October 8 when family members consumed a salad that had been prepared the day before, on the day of the birthday celebration. The eldest daughter was seven years old, and there were no other children in the family.
The mahalla chairman told Kun.uz that the woman prepared the salads herself during the birthday celebration. The next day, the family ate the leftovers of these salads.
Currently, specialists from emergency management and healthcare departments, as well as the sanitary-epidemiological welfare and public health service, have been involved in the investigation. On October 10, a criminal case was initiated under point 'a' of part 4 of Article 276-11 of the Criminal Code.
