The Minister quoted IRNA, stating that the Muhakkay script, recognized as an Iranian prose font, evokes pride among Iranians due to its revival in the field of Quranic calligraphy. According to the Minister of Culture, in this special era when relations with the Islamic world are of paramount importance, Master Ehsaei, while remaining faithful to the tradition of writing the Holy Quran in the Muhakkay script, also introduced his unique innovations, creating an unparalleled work in the field of Quran transcription.
Salehi also reported that this four-volume collection, comprising over 2600 pages, is a precious work where each page can be considered a work of art. He emphasized that this exquisite piece will undoubtedly pave the way for wider display of Iranian art worldwide.
The artwork was executed with the highest quality and precision, including illumination, ornamentation, printing, and exceptional finishing, taking over six years under the guidance of a specialized team. Mohammad Ehsaei, aged 87, is primarily known for his numerous calligraphic paintings and works created in the Nasta'liq style, which have been exhibited at exhibitions and auctions around the world.
