Several technological devices were launched or received significant updates in October 2026, presenting innovations in areas such as oral health, lighting, pet care, and projection.
Innovation in Oral Health and Lighting
Dyson presented the CameraJet in September, a smart toothbrush. This device features a tiny macro camera and a strobe flash on the handle. During brushing, the camera records details of the interdental spaces, which are analyzed by an Artificial Intelligence software that processes 28 images per second.
If the AI identifies an area needing attention, it can release a directed liquid jet, functioning like a watery floss. It is possible to monitor the brushing process in real time by connecting the brush to the application via Wi-Fi. The selling price of the CameraJet is US$ 499.
Regarding lighting, Philips Hue launched the Liane 360° Rope Light, which can be seen as an alternative to traditional LED strips. Its main advantage lies in its flexibility, allowing it to be coiled, hung, wrapped around objects, or used to create designs, and it is available in multiple colors for different environments.
Unlike common LED strips, this light offers complete 360-degree illumination, giving a more sophisticated look. Prices vary: the 3-meter version costs US$ 399.90, and the 5-meter version costs US$ 549.99.
Technology for Animals and Projectors
The PetPhone, a smart collar that was already available since January, received an update in September incorporating artificial intelligence. The three-month service, including the device, is available for US$ 99.99.
This collar allows for bidirectional voice calls for remote communication with the pet, in addition to enabling the playback of relaxing music or previously recorded messages. The AI analyzes movement patterns and sounds emitted by the pet, such as barks and meows, to interpret its emotional state and notify the owner through the application.
The Chinese company Magcubic, founded in 2020, gained prominence in the projector market by offering high-quality products at competitive prices. Its latest model, the M800 Pro GT, aims to solve the issue of low durability common in the sector, where lenses tend to deteriorate over time, degrading image quality.
The solution implemented in this new projector was to completely seal the optical mechanism, protecting it against dust, considered the main agent of wear. The expectation is to verify the effectiveness of this sealing in two or three years. The price of this equipment is US$ 230.99.
