Municipal services in Tashkent have begun watering tree canopies with the aim of removing accumulated dust and ensuring additional humidity in the urban environment amid insufficient rainfall in the autumn of 2026.

According to meteorological sources, the capital has received only 11 millimeters of precipitation since the beginning of October, whereas the average monthly figure is 24 millimeters. Furthermore, September was also characterized by exceptionally dry conditions, as reported by UzHydromet.
Specialized equipment is used to carry out this work, which sprays water onto the tree canopies. This process helps clean leaves from dust and humidify specific areas of the urban space.
Although such measures do not replace natural rain and do not fully solve the problem of dust pollution, they contribute to preserving urban greenery and improving the ecological situation during the drought. These measures are aimed at protecting trees and creating more comfortable conditions for the residents of the capital.
