Rahul Mahajan spoke about the difficulties of life and imprisonment in Tihad jail

Reality show star Rahul Mahajan has experienced many life trials despite his public image as a cheerful person. His life has been full of ups and downs. In his early years, he lost his father, Pramod Mahajan. Shortly after his father's death, he had to go to Tihad jail on charges of drug overdose.

He also faced difficulties in his personal relationships: his marriage broke up three times. He is now 51 years old and has no children.

During an interview on the podcast Subodhjit Ghosh, Rahul recalled his days in Tihad jail. He shared that after losing his father, he thought nothing worse could happen. However, just one month later, he found himself in Tihad jail, and then he realized that nature can give a person something even heavier.

Many events happened in his life in one year: he lost his father, got married, and then divorced, after which he went to Tihad jail. This entire difficult period lasted 365 days. Despite the hardships, he never harmed himself or attempted suicide.

Rahul said that he experienced a lot in prison, including lack of ventilation, but this did not cause him discomfort. He remembers being in prison with the terrorist Afzal Gur, who was 100 meters away from him, and wondered what he could do. He emphasized that the current situation cannot be considered the lowest point because below exists 'patala' (underworld), and his condition was like falling downwards.

He also noted that friends did not abandon him after his incarceration. Rahul reported that he engages in spiritual practices and tries to better understand himself. He stated that he does not allow other people's words to bother him, preferring to be occupied with himself, as no statements affect him.

According to the Ramayana, Ravana was not killed by arrows until the secret of immortality in his navel was revealed

Today, the festival of Dussehra is celebrated across the country, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. On this day, according to legend, Lord Shri Rama destroyed Ravana. In connection with this, effigies of Ravana, Meghanada, and Kumbhakarna are burned across the country. According to the story of the Ramayana, during the battle with Ravana, Shri Rama had to strike many blows to his head and arms, but he kept reviving again and again. Soon Rama learned about the secret of his immortality, after which he shot an arrow at the correct spot, and Ravana was defeated.

This episode is described in detail by Gosavi Tulsidas in the Lanka Kanda Ramcharitmanas. During the fierce battle between Rama and Ravana, Shri Rama's arrows severed Ravana's head and limbs, but after a short time, they reappeared. Because of this, the war dragged on. When Ravana did not die despite constant attacks, the gods, siddhis, and sages became worried. Then Lord Rama turned his attention to Vibhishana.

Vibhishana knew that killing Ravana was difficult due to the presence of the Kundala of Amrita in his navel. He informed Lord Shri Rama about this secret. Vibhishana told Lord Shri Rama: 'O Lord, the end may come by Your will. You are testing Your devotee. You are the master of all living beings and the protector of those who seek refuge in You. In Ravana's navel is the Kundala of Amrita, and it is because of this that he has lived until now.' Hearing Vibhishana's words, Lord Shri Rama rejoiced and raised the mighty arrow in his hand. Now he knew how to put an end to Ravana.

Shri Rama's arrows rendered Ravana's Kundala of Amrita useless and severed his head and limbs. After this, his torso began to run across the battlefield. To stop him, Lord Shri Rama released another arrow, splitting his torso into two parts. Even at the moment of death, Ravana let out terrible roars, as if challenging Shri Rama in battle. When the ten-headed Ravana fell to the ground, the earth trembled. The sea, rivers, mountains, and giants of directions were thrown into confusion. Ravana's huge body fell to the ground, and its two halves crushed a group of monkeys and bears present on the battlefield. Thus, Lord Shri Rama destroyed Ravana and established the victory of Dharma over Adharma.
