The Wosune Food Ingredients Karshi enterprise has been launched in the Kashkadarya region. This production facility specializes in producing dried vegetables, fruits, and greens intended for the food and cosmetic industries. The project, with a total cost of $8.5 million, was implemented by the American company Wosune International Inc.
The facility employs 150 staff members. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the plant located in the 'Kashkadarya' free economic zone.
Technologies and Product Range
The production involves drying products such as carrots, bell peppers, pumpkin, apples, green onions, and spinach, as well as other types of greens. Convection equipment is used to ensure the preservation of the taste quality and nutritional properties of the raw materials. Furthermore, about thirty percent of the production operations are automated using robotic systems.
The finished ingredients obtained are used in the creation of preserves, spices, fast-food products, and cosmetic items. The enterprise's products are exported to both CIS countries and European states.
Development Plans and Previous Projects
The company plans to increase its annual export volume to $40 million. To achieve this goal, there are plans to intensify cooperation with local farmers in the region and organize direct supply channels for agricultural raw materials.
It is worth noting that previously, the FM World enterprise was launched in the city of Karshi, which received foreign investment of $20 million, and where agricultural machinery is assembled under the Nasaf trademark.
