Sachin Tapan's condition worsened due to prison hunger strike; he has been hospitalized

The condition of Sachin Tapan, an inmate in a high-security prison in Ajmer, has deteriorated, necessitating his hospitalization. According to the prison administration, he has stated that he has refused food and water for the past 17-18 days. However, the prison superintendent notes that Sachin has not submitted any written requests regarding his demands. He previously explained his condition by observing a silent fast, citing the Navratri period.

Currently, prison and hospital staff are monitoring his health. Doctors are attempting to provide him with treatment, but he refuses medical assistance. Meanwhile, the prison administration provided different information about his hunger strike. Sachin Tapan, also known as Sachin Bishnoi, is the nephew of notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi and was among the main accused in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala.

According to the police version, Sachin played a significant role in planning this murder. During the investigation, accusations were uncovered regarding reconnaissance before the killing and providing weapons and other necessary assistance to the shooters. He is currently held in a high-security prison in Ajmer. Following the deterioration of Sachin Tapan's health, he was transferred to the Jawaharlal Nehru emergency department.

The hospital's deputy director, Dr. Amit Yadav, reported that his condition became critical because he has been fasting for 17-18 days. Doctors note that Sachin refuses treatment. The hospital administration has forwarded this situation to higher authorities. Efforts are being made to initiate treatment in coordination with the prison administration.

The prison administration provided different information regarding Sachin's refusal of food and water. Prison Superintendent Pars Janghir stated that Sachin has not yet submitted a written request for his demands. When officials visited him in the high-security prison, he cited Navratri and stated that he was observing a silent fast, thus not discussing his matters in detail with the officials.

According to the prison administration, no demands from him have been registered in writing. Superintendent Pars Janghir clarified that Sachin Tapan verbally made a demand two days before starting the fast: he wanted two of his other comrades, who are also in the high-security prison, to be placed in his cell. However, he did not submit a written application for this.

The prison administration emphasized that after this, Sachin made no further written requests. Therefore, the administration does not have a formal statement to address his demands. The superintendent noted that the two inmates Sachin requested to be placed in his cell are also in the high-security prison in Ajmer. There are allegations that these two inmates recently damaged surveillance cameras and tiles in their cell. Following this incident, the prison administration filed a case against them at the Civil Lines police station.

The prison administration believes that placing inmates who have been disciplined in the same cell as Sachin violates regulations. According to the prison administration, Sachin's verbal request to place two of his comrades in one cell cannot be granted as it violates prison statutes and security rules.

On the other hand, efforts are being made to ensure his treatment in the hospital following the deterioration of Sachin's health. Since he refuses treatment, his health remains a concern for both doctors and prison staff. Currently, the situation is based on information provided by the prison administration and statements from the hospital's deputy director.
