This guide presents four entertainment suggestions available on platforms such as Prime Video, Globoplay, and Instagram during the month of October.
The Good Bandit (2025)
Available on Prime Video, this film narrates the true story of Jeffrey Manchester. He was a notorious robber in the 1990s for breaking into McDonald's establishments through the roof, maintaining polite behavior with employees during the robberies. Later, in the 2000s, he managed to escape from prison and spent months living hidden in a toy store.
After Hours (1985)
The film 'After Hours' can be watched on HBO Max and Looke. The plot follows Paul, who takes a taxi at night in New York and loses his only $20 bill out the window. This is just one of many comical-tragic and absurd situations he will face during the early morning hours while trying to get home. It is a lesser-known film by Martin Scorsese, but considered as good as the director's most famous works.
The Day I Met You (2023)
On Globoplay, 'The Day I Met You' tells the story of Zeca, a school librarian who has difficulty waking up early. His delays create tension in the workplace; however, the situation improves when he starts getting closer to a colleague named Luísa. This is a comedic romance, characteristic of Brazil, produced by the Minas Gerais company Filmes de Plástico.
Beauty Scientist
On Instagram, Juliana Pegas, who has degrees in Chemistry, Aesthetics, and Cosmetology, offers didactic explanations about the components of cosmetics, whose ingredient lists are often written in Latin and difficult to interpret. She clarifies the function of each element of these products, helping the public discern which brands deliver on their promises. The report was done by Bela Lobato, a correspondent for Super.
