Goal of creating 300 thousand IT jobs achieved; plans to create another 500 thousand and train 5.5 million youth

The goal of creating 300 thousand jobs in the information technology sector by 2030 was achieved ahead of schedule. Now, considering new directions in the digital economy, the task has been set to create another 500 thousand jobs by 2030.

To achieve this, a unified digital educational ecosystem will be formed, covering the entire process—from training youth to their employment. It is planned to train 5.5 million young people in traditional and distance learning formats by 2030.

The President set the task of training 1 million young people annually in promising fields such as robotics, computer game development, and startups.

In higher education, special attention will be paid to the following areas. Furthermore, the professional development and certification of informatics teachers in artificial intelligence are planned, as well as expanding students' opportunities to use international digital courses.

Proposals to create iOS developer training centers based on the experience of the Fergana region and to train mentors for private educational centers have been approved.

The 'Digital Youth' platform will be developed to help young people find jobs. This platform will aggregate data on education, professional skills, language proficiency, and certificates, and will offer vacancies corresponding to age, followed by employment monitoring.

Attracting international technology companies to digital education will also be expanded. Last year, grant funding of $22 million was received in this area. This year, half of the attracted grants will be directed to digital education, and the remaining portion to professional development programs and the creation of digital education centers in remote areas.

These centers will be equipped with modern equipment for teaching programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
