Stock market closed today due to Dasara holiday; information on upcoming holidays during the festive season

Today, trading on the stock market is suspended due to the Dasara holiday. This means that trading is closed at both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), and there will be no activity in the stock market or any other segments.

According to the BSE and NSE holiday calendar, there are still three holidays remaining this year.

Due to the stock market holiday, investors will be unable to conduct transactions in the stock market. After the Dasara holiday, the stock market will reopen on Wednesday, October 21, and trading will resume. Earlier in October, trading was also suspended on October 2 for Ganesh Chaturthi.

While stock market trading is completely halted in honor of Dasara, trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will only be suspended during the morning session, meaning from 9 AM to 5 PM. The evening session of MCX will continue to operate, including precious metal trading.
