You will need: one chopped onion, one diced tomato, curry leaves, six dried red chilies, one teaspoon of mustard seeds, one teaspoon of cumin seeds, half a shredded cabbage, two minced garlic cloves, salt to taste, oil, and three peeled and chopped potatoes.
Cooking Instructions
Heat the oil in a saucepan, then add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds, and dried red chilies. Sauté the mixture for five minutes, after which the tomatoes and onion are added.
Next, the dish simmers for ten minutes until the onion and tomatoes begin to take on a brown hue. After that, the cabbage is added, the saucepan is covered, and it simmers for another fifteen minutes. Then the potatoes and salt to taste are added, everything is mixed, and the dish is covered again to cook for an additional twenty minutes until the potatoes are tender.
If you wish to increase the spiciness, you can add some vegetable sauce or chili curry.
