The singer and the show 'Indian Idol' are returning in an updated format, featuring legendary artists and former contestants. The program includes a nostalgic element, with well-known singers from past seasons such as Abidjit Sawant, Amit Sana, Pradjakta Shukre, Rishi Singh, and Salman Ali. Some of these performers are considered legends, while others are former participants who helped boost ratings during their respective seasons.
However, fans have noted the absence of one very popular pair, whom viewers feel the organizers forgot to include among the legends. This refers to Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal.
This pair generated immense response from the audience. In Season 12, their joint performances captivated all of India. When they performed duets, the audience showed enthusiastic delight. During Season 12, the popularity of Pawandeep and Arunita reached a high level. Pawandeep won the competition due to his strong voice and musical talents, while Arunita secured the runner-up position.
Their appealing chemistry and singing talent were actively discussed online, leading to their names being frequently mentioned. Rumors about their relationship surfaced, and fans even organized a mock wedding for them. Nevertheless, Pawandeep and Arunita publicly stated that they only have a friendly relationship, nothing more.
Fans do not understand why the organizers did not include this popular pair in the 'Indian Idol' legends lineup. Both artists are not participating in the current season. Users have put forward several theories regarding their absence: perhaps they are busy with other projects, lack time to participate in the show, or they themselves do not wish to compete again. Meanwhile, Pawandeep has appeared multiple times as a guest on other vocal shows after Season 12. For him, the 'Indian Idol' stage was always special.
After the conclusion of 'Indian Idol', both artists focused on developing their individual music careers. They also performed together at various concerts and released music videos. Pawandeep maintained his relevance in the music world through live performances, musical performances, and other projects. Arunita also remained in the public eye thanks to her singing and stage appearances, including performing Bengali songs.
The popularity of both artists is not limited to the scope of 'Indian Idol'; they have successfully built their own recognition. If they were to rejoin the show, it would undoubtedly increase the program's rating. For now, fans can enjoy their work on various platforms.
