President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR and British Petroleum (BP). These representatives arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Investment Council for the fuel and energy sector.
The main topic of discussion was the prospects for further cooperation in the energy sector and the implementation of joint projects. Special attention was paid to specific measures for developing hydrocarbon fields on the Ust-Karnag Plateau.
Mirziyoyev also emphasized BP's participation in a large-scale project. The parties also considered opportunities to launch new initiatives in the field of oil and gas, create long-term supplies, and develop a network for realizing oil and petroleum products.
