The German luxury car manufacturer Audi has released an updated version of its popular SUV, the Audi Q3, into the Indian market. This model features an attractive design and a powerful engine, with a starting price of 51.99 lakh rupees (excluding taxes). The new generation of the SUV boasts a more sophisticated design, modern technologies, and numerous new features.
Special attention in the new Q3 has been given to the all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, which is available with the gasoline engine, setting it apart from competitors. The model is offered in two trims—Nova and Zenith—but currently, only the price of the base Nova variant has been disclosed. The SUV is assembled at the company's plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, and deliveries have already begun.
The exterior of the new Q3 has undergone significant changes compared to the previous generation. The front of the car is adorned with split headlights. The top is equipped with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and the bumper features digital matrix LED headlights. These headlights are also equipped with a special washing system to maintain cleanliness.
The lighting system of the new Q3 is uniquely designed: the LED DRLs and headlights have their own light signature. According to the company, the digital matrix LED headlights will display important information related to ADAS, functioning like a projector. This allows the driver to see critical data directly in front of them, which Audi believes will significantly enhance driving safety.
The front of the SUV features a large honeycomb grille. A similar design is used in the lower bumper air intakes, giving the car a sporty look. On the side, the new Audi Q3 comes standard with 18-inch wheels. These wheels are fitted with self-centering caps. Furthermore, the SUV has received a chrome window line, roof rails, and slightly flared wheel arches, enhancing its sporty appearance.
At the rear, there are split LED taillights connected by a thin light strip at the bottom. The Audi logo is also illuminated on the rear panel. The company has also added a roof spoiler and a rear wiper and washer.
As a premium SUV, the Audi Q3 possesses impressive dimensions. Its length is 4531 mm, width is 1859 mm, and height is 1601 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2681 mm, and the trunk volume is 488 liters, providing ample space for luggage during family trips.
The Audi Q3 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with direct injection. This engine generates 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which directs power to all four wheels, enabling the AWD system.
In terms of performance, the SUV demonstrates high metrics. According to the company's statements, the new Audi Q3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds, and its top speed reaches 229 km/h.
The interior of the new Audi Q3 has been completely updated. The dashboard features a minimalist design and includes two digital displays arranged in a curved configuration. The cabin is equipped with a 12.8-inch multimedia touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital driver display. Both screens allow the driver to access necessary information and control infotainment system functions.
The SUV features a six-spoke steering wheel with a hexagonal design, equipped with touch controls. A notable feature is the ability to use the right lever on the steering wheel as a drive selector. Meanwhile, the left lever controls the headlights and turn signals. Transferring the selector function to the steering wheel helps keep the center console cleaner.
The center console is equipped with wireless phone charging, two cup holders, and an electronic parking brake system. The center console slides forward, forming an armrest for the front passengers. The SUV seats are upholstered in leather (Alcantara). The front seats are power-adjustable and feature heating, allowing them to be electrically adjusted and warmed in cold weather.
The driver's seat includes a memory function that works in conjunction with the electronically adjustable side mirrors (ORVMs). This allows the driver to save and reuse seat and mirror settings as desired.
