148 of 150 construction works completed at Ram Mandir temple complex in Ayodhya, transferred to trust management

In the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya, 148 out of a total of 150 construction works have been completed and handed over to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Foundation. This information was reported by Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the temple construction committee, on Friday.

Nripendra Mishra specified that the main unfinished work is the construction of the outer perimeter, or the fortress wall, which still needs to be handed over to the Foundation. He also noted that the goal is to complete the lighting work for the perimeter and the front part of the temple by November 15th.

Following a review of the construction progress on the second day of the three-day meeting of the temple construction committee, Nripendra Mishra stated that rain affected the roof water supply work for the perimeter. These works will be completed after the weather improves.

Nripendra Mishra stated that lighting appropriate to the majesty and beauty of the temple structure will be organized during Diwali. The target date for completing the lighting work for the perimeter and the front part of the temple remains November 15th.

He added that upon finalization of documents, blueprints, design, and financial information related to Larsen & Toubro, the completed works are handed over to the Foundation. Subsequently, the Foundation's team of project engineers conducts an inspection and accepts the work.

The committee is also auditing financial matters, including payments to contractors. Progress on the hall and museum, which are being built outside the temple premises, will be discussed.

Nripendra Mishra reported that the construction of the Vijay Stambha and the heroes' memorial has been completed. However, some landscaping and gardening work is still required at these sites. The committee will also inspect the construction sites to assess the pace of work and address difficulties faced by contractors.

The Ram Mandir project began following the Supreme Court's decision on November 9, 2019, regarding a land dispute in Ayodhya. This ruling ordered the disputed land to be transferred to one foundation for temple construction, while separately allocating 5 acres for a mosque. Subsequently, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Foundation was established to oversee the temple construction.
