Renault has introduced the Duster Zen Plus 1.6 variant, a new entry point into the SUV segment, priced at R$ 107,990. This model is scheduled to arrive at dealerships this October and costs approximately R$ 24,000 less than the Intense Plus manual, which previously held the title of the most economical version.
With this new price, the Duster now competes directly with other compact SUVs, such as the Fiat Pulse and the Volkswagen Taos, and also approaches the Kardian, considered its newest model in the Renault lineup.
This new version aims to revitalize sales of the SUV, which was launched in the Brazilian market in 2011 and had its generation updated starting in 2020. From January to September, the Renault Duster registered sales of 10.7 thousand units, representing a drop of almost 20% compared to the same period in 2025, while the overall segment experienced a growth of 32%.
Although a new generation of the vehicle was already displayed in India in January and is undergoing testing there, Renault has not yet confirmed whether this update will be made available in Brazil.
The Zen Plus version is equipped with the 1.6 SCe flex aspirated engine, which generates up to 112 horsepower and 15.6 kgfm with ethanol, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Standard features include six airbags, stability and traction control systems, hill start assist, electric steering, air conditioning, and the Stop & Start feature, which shuts down the engine during stops.
Externally, it features LED daytime running lights, a gloss black grille, and 16-inch wheels. Internally, the seats are upholstered in black and gray fabric, complemented by blue stitching and chrome details in the cabin.
In terms of dimensions, the trunk maintains a capacity of 475 liters, and the ground clearance reaches 23.7 cm. Renault states that the Duster offers the largest interior space in its category and the best approach and departure angles among models in the segment.
The SUV is manufactured in São José dos Pinhais (PR) and comes with a three-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty offered by the manufacturer.
