Uzbekistan launches Uzbek language portal and donates school buses to remote areas

Two initiatives aimed at preserving the country's cultural heritage and improving access to education were presented in the capital of Uzbekistan. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform of the HAYOT Foundation introduced the digital portal til.uz, dedicated to the Uzbek language, and also organized the donation of two school minibuses for students from remote settlements.

New digital resource for learning the Uzbek language

The til.uz portal was created with the goal of systematizing and promoting materials related to the Uzbek language, its cultural heritage, and regional diversity. It combines dictionaries, materials on Uzbek folklore, and information about dialects.

Registration is not required to access the main resources. Users can convert text between Latin and Cyrillic alphabets and use a search function that accounts for possible spelling errors.

This resource is intended for students of schools and universities, teachers, journalists, researchers, and anyone who uses the Uzbek language in daily or professional activities. The project is implemented by the HAYOT Foundation CSR platform, which is part of the National Center for Revival Support and Development of Initiatives, with support from Gross Insurance and the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.

Centrum Air serves as the official carrier for the project, providing transportation for dialectology specialists to various regions of the country to collect and study linguistic material. Tilmoch is the technical partner, and the Center for Media Content Preparation under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan provides informational support.

In honor of the portal's launch, the Ilhom Theater staged the play 'Qadrdon til / Dear Language', dedicated to the native language and maintaining intergenerational connections. This production was directed by Alexander Plotnikov and took place only on the day of the platform's presentation.

Developers plan to expand the language resources and functionality of the portal, as well as add a section dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence for the Uzbek language. This project is being developed within the framework of the Madaniy Hayot initiative of the HAYOT Foundation platform.

School minibuses for two regions

On the same day in Tashkent, two additional school minibuses were handed over as part of the 'Maktabga Xavfsiz Harakat' (Safe Journey to School) project. The goal of this program is to ensure the safe transportation of children living in remote areas.

The minibuses, supported by Gross Insurance and Orient Finans Bank, are intended for two educational institutions: School No. 38 in Akhganar District of Tashkent Region and School No. 36 in Romitan District of Bukhara Region.

Thanks to this latest donation, the project's fleet has increased to six minibuses. The first four vehicles delivered in the initial phase are already used for daily student transport.

Like the transport from the first phase, the new minibuses are equipped with GPS trackers provided with the support of the technology partner UZGPS. This system allows operators to monitor the location and movement of the transport along the routes.

The first phase of the project started on April 24, 2026, when four minibuses were delivered. Three of them were purchased with the support of Kapitalbank. The Republican Kelayak Center also participates in the initiative.

Organizers emphasize that regular school transport is especially important for children who have to travel long distances to educational institutions. Organized transportation makes trips to and from school more convenient and safer for both students and their families.

The 'Maktabga Xavfsiz Harakat' project is implemented as part of the Inson Hayoti initiative of the HAYOT Foundation CSR platform.

Social initiatives in culture and education

The launch of til.uz and the expansion of the school transport project demonstrate two areas of activity for the HAYOT Foundation: preserving linguistic and cultural heritage and helping to improve access to education. Both initiatives are implemented with the participation of businesses and relevant organizations.

The language portal focuses on digitizing linguistic resources, studying dialects, and maintaining cultural continuity. At the same time, the school transport project aims to improve transport infrastructure for children in remote communities. Future development plans include adding new content to the digital portal and expanding the scope of school transport services under 'Maktabga Xavfsiz Harakat.'
