Pamela Mtanga returns to screens with two new TV shows

Pamela Mtanga, a television presenter and digital content creator, is returning to Mzansi television screens with two new shows that are set to solidify her spotlight status.

She will host the new magazine-lifestyle show 'VIP Lounge' on Channel 161 alongside musician and content creator Zulu Mkhathini. Furthermore, Mtanga will be the host of the upcoming reality dating show 'Elevator Love Mzansi' from Mzansi Magic.

These two projects mark a significant addition to her television career, allowing Mtanga to continue expanding her presence in the spheres of entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle.

'VIP Lounge' is a bold new magazine and lifestyle format show that will bring viewers closer to the latest trends, events, and conversations in Mzansi. For Mtanga herself, this opportunity represents a special return to television after several years away from the camera.

In a press release, the presenter shared her excitement about participating in the show and reconnecting with the audience. She stated: 'I am so happy to join 'VIP Lounge'. It has been a couple of years since I was on TV, so this opportunity feels even more special. I have always wanted to be part of television that feels relevant, fun, and connected to what is happening in Mzansi right now. I am also excited to share the space with Zulu; we have had so much fun preparing this, and I cannot wait for everyone to finally see it.'

Mtanga's television comeback is not limited to lifestyle entertainment. She will also host 'Elevator Love Mzansi,' a new reality dating show from Mzansi Magic, premiering on October 18th. This project adds another dimension to her hosting portfolio, placing her at the center of a dating format that promises to bring romance and entertainment to viewers.

As 'VIP Lounge' is already airing and 'Elevator Love Mzansi' is gearing up for its debut, Mtanga is gaining momentum through two distinct television offerings.

Beyond her television work, Mtanga has established herself as one of South Africa's prominent style influencers, balancing roles as a host, master of ceremonies, and digital content creator. In 2022, Meta recognized her as the only South African included in its global 'Creators of Tomorrow' campaign, highlighting the role of emerging creators shaping the future of digital content.

Her influence in fashion has also garnered recognition, including the 'Glamour Style Influencer of the Year' award in 2025 and the title of 'Top Personality and Influencer' at the Youth-Owned Brands Awards.

The year has proven to be busy for Mtanga. Previously, in 2026, she hosted the National Arts and Culture Awards broadcast on SABC 1. She has also continued to strengthen her position in fashion and lifestyle. In August, she participated in the Malondie SS26 x Vaseline Cera-Glow Fashion Experience event and returned as a master of ceremonies at Brutal Fruit’s The Pink Table event.

With her schedule encompassing television hosting duties, fashion events, and major live appearances, Mtanga's career remains dynamic. Now, with the addition of two TV shows to her growing portfolio, the presenter enters a new chapter that merges her passion for entertainment, her screen persona, and her influence in the digital space.

Royal Countess Zingara returns to Cape Town with new show 'Melanina – Return to Origin'

Royal Countess Zingara is returning to the City Centre in Cape Town at numerous public requests. This time, she will present a brand new production titled 'Melanina – Return to Origin,' the premiere of which is scheduled for October 10, 2026. Tickets for the show are now on sale.

The concept for 'Melanina – Return to Origin' was developed by Richard Griffin, Craig Leo, and Valentina Leo. This new chapter for Zingara offers a fresh perspective while retaining familiar elements from previous performances.

The production combines the glamour of the old world and is presented through the lens of a speakeasy club. The action will unfold amidst the Spiegeltent tent, offering audiences an extraordinary journey enhanced by vibrant vocal, dance, and aerial acts, a pulsating rhythm, and unrestrained fun.

Furthermore, for the first time in 25 years, two Zingara shows will run simultaneously. While 'La Dolce Royal' continues its run at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg until February 2027, 'Melanina – Return to Origin' will open in the Mother City.

The cast, demonstrating exceptional skill, artistry, and talent, is composed of local and international talents. Participants include a trio of Mongolian contortionists, Tanzanian acrobats, and South African aerial artists, whose performances promise to be as outstanding as ever.

The emotional soundscape will be provided by a live band featuring Ancio September, Ann Masina, Lelo Ramasimongo, and Donovan Yards on vocals, along with an inspiring playlist for all connoisseurs. Overall, Zingara's visitors can expect an immersion into the atmosphere of a forgotten nightclub located somewhere between South America, New Orleans, and Africa, where jazz becomes a ritual and the past takes the stage.
