New park area with artificial lake to be created in the Sergeli district of Tashkent

A new recreation area is planned for the Kumaryk mahalla in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, which will be equipped with an artificial lake, playgrounds, gazebos, and barbecue areas. The total area of this territory will be five hectares, and the completion of construction work is scheduled for the end of the current year.

This project is part of a general program to create artificial water bodies in all districts of the capital. The lake itself will have an area of 17 thousand square meters. In addition, the remaining part of the territory will be organized with places for family time, walks, and outdoor recreation.

The project also includes the installation of solar panels, as well as water filtration and ozonation systems. The authors envision that the presence of the lake would help reduce dust levels, increase air humidity, and generally improve the local microclimate.

Currently, over 30% of the planned work has been completed on the site. Construction crews are engaged in strengthening structures and building a retaining wall. It is expected that about 800 meters of the wall will be completed and the soil from the bottom of the future lake will be completely removed by November.

Representatives of the Tashkent city government reported that geological surveys confirmed the suitability of the chosen site for construction. They also emphasized that the work process is under continuous control, and any discovered deficiencies are promptly addressed on site. The implementation of the project is declared to fully comply with environmental standards and current legislation.

Furthermore, another project to create a public recreation space is planned in the Shaikhanthakur district of Tashkent. A park is planned to be built there, which will include a lake, green areas, sports and walking areas, as well as children's recreation zones. Previously, the head of the Presidential Administration, Saied Mirziyoyev, inspected the territory designated for this future park.
