Uzbekistan Discovers New Borisoy Gas Condensate Field in Kashkadarya Region

The state company Uzbekneftegaz announced the discovery of a new gas condensate field named Borisoy. The discovery took place in the Shurtan area, located in the Guzar district of Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region.

The field was identified during exploratory drilling that began on August 5. The drill well reached a depth of 3,159 meters. Specialists from Uzbekgeofizika conducted tests, resulting in natural gas and condensate starting to flow from geological strata at depths ranging from 2,842 to 3,001 meters.

During testing, the daily production volume of gas ranged from 300,000 to 400,000 cubic meters. After completing the tests, it is planned that the gas will be directed for processing starting October 15, after which it will be supplied to consumers.

Currently, specialists are studying the characteristics and production potential of this field's productive layers. Furthermore, drilling a second exploratory well at this site is planned before the end of the current year.
