Over 18,000 kg of waste was collected from the beaches of Mumbai. These collected plastic materials can be recycled into school benches that will serve needy students, thereby giving a second life to discarded waste.
More than 1,500 volunteers participated in the 'Civic Sense Revolution' campaign by The Better India at Dadar beach. Their multi-hour work served as a powerful reminder that change begins with taking personal responsibility.
However, the true transformation lies in reaching a point where beaches no longer require cleaning, because people stop littering, start sorting waste, and apply civic consciousness daily.
