'Coffee With Karan' is returning with its ninth season, where host Karan Johar once again participates in the show. The first episode will air today, October 14, and the first guest will be superstar Salman Khan.
During the fun and candid 'Rapid Fire' round in the premiere of Season 9, filmmaker Karan Johar shared his most cherished cinematic dream. When asked what he would do if he became Shah Rukh Khan for a day, he jokingly replied that the first thing he would do is call Karan Johar to make it happen—specifically, by making a film with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan.
Previously, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan first appeared together in the famous film 'Karan Arjun', where they played brothers avenging their honor. After that, they participated in films such as 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', the latter being Karan Johar's directorial debut, where Salman played a lengthy special role.
Shah Rukh also took part in the film 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega' as a cameo. Salman appeared in the song 'Deewangi Deewangi' from Shah Rukh's film 'Om Shanti Om', and also in 'Zero' as a cameo. Recently, Salman played Tiger in an action sequence in the film 'Pathaan', while Shah Rukh appeared in 'Tiger 3' as Pathaan. Both superstars demonstrated amazing mastery on screen, as fans highly appreciate their chemistry both on and off screen.
Salman's presence in 'Coffee With Karan' is particularly significant as he is the only guest this season, although Karisma Kapoor also has a special appearance. The actress debuted on the show in the fourth season, and later appeared in the 100th episode of the fifth season with Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.
In the teaser, Karan hinted to viewers what to expect from the final season, telling Salman: 'This is the finale of the season, so it could be anywhere.' The actor replied without hesitation: 'It could be anywhere.' This short dialogue sets the atmosphere for a season that promises many candid answers and unexpected moments.
'Coffee With Karan' Season 9 will air every Wednesday at 7:00 PM exclusively on JioHotstar.
