The project team described The Nimbus - uBLOCK Healthcare Hospitality Lounge / LUKSTUDIO as a transformation of an independent 130 square meter building located in the Yishan Road Business Plaza.
Lukstudio received an invitation from Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare to renovate this space, converting the ground floor into a cafe and the second floor into an exclusive VIP lounge. The project's design is inspired by the 'tribe' concept.
This concept aims to soften the typical divisions of the medical environment, reducing the separation between healthcare professionals and patients, as well as between indoor and outdoor spaces, and between formality and informality. Furthermore, the strategic use of light was employed to create an environment that conveys welcome and healing.
