WHO approved vaccination of girls aged 4 to 8 against human papillomavirus

The World Health Organization's (WHO) Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization has authorized countries to conduct routine immunization for girls in the age group from 4 to 8 years.

According to this recommendation, girls can receive a single dose of the vaccine targeting human papillomavirus, provided that this administration leads to an increase in overall vaccination coverage.

This decision was announced during the October working session of this expert group, and the main results of its work are already available on the official WHO website.
