BHEL's net profit in the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year more than doubled to 821 crore rupees

The state-owned company BHEL reported a twofold increase in consolidated net profit to 820.94 crore rupees for the September quarter. This growth is attributed to increased revenue from key business areas such as energy and industry.

BHEL is India's largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Previously, in the second quarter of the last fiscal year, the company recorded a net profit of 374.89 crore rupees, as stated in the report submitted to the stock exchange.

From July to September, the company's total revenue increased by 24 percent, reaching 9,553.01 crore rupees compared to 7,686.11 crore rupees a year earlier.

Segment details showed that the company earned revenue of 6,637.90 crore rupees from the energy sector and 2,662.45 crore rupees from the industrial sector. These figures are higher than 5,675.64 crore rupees and 1,836.16 crore rupees, respectively, which were received from these two verticals in September of the 2025 fiscal year.

The company's expenses amounted to 8,482.40 crore rupees, exceeding the figure of 7,201.54 crore rupees recorded a year ago.
