New Operators Appointed for Restaurants in Kruger National Park

A series of restaurant updates is planned for Kruger National Park as South African National Parks (SANParks) aims to enhance the dining experience for visitors. These appointments followed a competitive tender process after the expiration of previous concession agreements.

The changes will introduce new dining concepts in four popular camps, while one restaurant will undergo major renovations. For instance, the former Mugg & Bean in Lower Sabie will reopen as Sabie River Café, and Wimpy in Pretoria Camp will be replaced by Le Lapeng Burgers and Grill.

Furthermore, in Berg-en-Dal camp, the Tindlovu restaurant will become Eziko Eatery. Meanwhile, Cattle Baron in Skukuza will be renovated to give the restaurant a refreshed look.

SANParks has announced that temporary cafeterias with limited menus will be available during renovation periods to ensure continuous service for guests. The organization and the new operators apologized for any inconvenience caused during the modernization process.

These appointments are expected to bring fresh ideas and investment to the park's dining facilities, while also contributing to job creation and economic growth. SANParks expressed hope to present the updated facilities in the coming months.
