Free shuttles and expanded parking announced for Sharjah Book Fair 2026

Book lovers planning to attend the Sharjah International Book Fair in November will receive additional travel conveniences for the venue: free shuttle buses and increased parking spaces have been scheduled for the 45th edition of the event.

Sharjah's authority in publishing and publishing activities will be strengthened by the gathering of participants from 124 countries at the fair. These details were announced by the Sharjah Book Fair Authority (SBA) during a press conference on Tuesday.

The fair will last 12 days, starting on November 4, and will feature over 2000 publishers, including 1151 Arab and 1122 international publishers. The planned transport and parking solutions are intended to make attending the event more comfortable for families, readers, and other guests.

Hula Al Mujaini, General Coordinator of SIBF, noted that 'this new 45th edition brings together 124 countries globally, reflecting Sharjah's status and its ability to unite the world and the book industry under one roof.'

Nine participants will present their works for the first time this year. Among them are countries such as Angola, Belarus, Cambodia, Quebec, Myanmar, Trinidad and Tobago, and Niger.

The Sultanate of Oman, the guest of honor for this edition, was represented at the press conference by Ahmed bin Saud bin Nasser Al Rawahi, Deputy Director General for Knowledge and Cultural Development at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Oman.

Representatives from Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the fair's official media partner, and the Etisalat group, its official partner, were also present at the announcement.
