The Emirates Drug Authority (EDE) has ordered a precautionary recall of a batch of blue three-layer Nin 160 FMB-NML masks due to quality concerns.
In a circular addressed to medical institutions and private sector specialists in Dubai, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) referenced the recall notice from this authority and strongly urged compliance with its directives.
EDE mandated the local distributor to immediately withdraw the entire volume of the affected batch from the UAE market and place both the recalled products and remaining stock under quarantine.
The distributor was also instructed to cease further distribution of these masks and provide EDE with detailed information on the quantity of imported, distributed, recalled, and remaining units. Furthermore, they must submit a complete list of distribution points across the country.
