Grapes from Fergana Region of Uzbekistan Exported to South Korea for the First Time

Grapes from the Fergana region of Uzbekistan are being sent to South Korea for export for the first time. The local company Quva-Agro Star developed a plan to export 300 tons of grapes in modern packaging.

As part of the preparations for shipments, specialists from South Korea inspected the company's operating conditions, as well as the processes for preparing grapes for export and fumigation. After this work was completed, a supply plan was drawn up.

According to the authorities of the Fergana region, in 2025, the region exported 98,664 tons of grapes for a total of 97.5 million US dollars. In 2026, the export volume amounted to 80,000 tons worth 63 million US dollars.

In addition to South Korea, grapes from Fergana are supplied to countries in Europe, Belarus, China, Russia, Iraq, Ukraine, and other destinations. Gaining access to the South Korean market expands the geographical scope of grape exports from the Fergana region and opens up additional opportunities for local producers.
