The Governor of the Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held discussions on the prospects for updating drinking water supply systems and sewage networks in the region with leaders of the Saudi company Miahona.
These negotiations took place in Riyadh during the governor's working trip to Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Bozorov met with Miahona's CEO, Awad Al-Otaibi.
The parties reviewed proposals for developing water infrastructure in the Fergana Region, drawing on the company's experience in water supply, wastewater treatment, and water reuse.
Miahona specializes in infrastructure projects, including those implemented through public-private partnerships. Furthermore, it develops solutions for industrial enterprise water supply and manages wastewater treatment systems.
Miahona is expanding its activities in Uzbekistan. On September 29, 2024, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and Uzsuvtaminot JSC. Preliminary work on potential projects under this cooperation has since begun, including initiatives in the Fergana Region.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical interaction, study the raised issues through working groups, and prepare concrete proposals for further cooperation.
