MG Motors releases limited edition Windsor EV Indulge Edition with feature updates

Amid growing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian market, MG Motors is preparing to launch a special version of its popular Windsor EV model. This model, which has been on the Indian market for two years, has been sold over 80,000 times.

Before the festive season, the company announced the release of the limited edition Windsor EV Indulge Edition. Exclusive images showcasing new exterior colors, an updated interior, and additional features have been presented.

The most noticeable changes concern the exterior. The special edition will be available in a new color, 'Shadow Gold'. Furthermore, the car will be fitted with 18-inch black alloy wheels, which will enhance its appearance. New 'Indulge' badges are also installed on the quartz glass at the rear of the body, distinguishing it from the standard version.

However, much of the design will remain the same: LED lighting, aerodynamic spoilers, a black roof, and black side mirrors (ORVMs) will be retained. It is expected that the rear design of the vehicle will match the current Windsor EV, meaning the exterior changes are minor.

In the cabin of the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition, certain modifications are also included. The dashboard and cabin design will maintain the black-ivory color scheme, but the seats will be upholstered in a new combination of 'Urban Tan' and black shades. An embossed 'Indulge' inscription will be placed on the headrests of the front seats.

The Windsor EV model is known for its comfort, and this version adds extra amenities. Front passengers will receive neck pillows, and rear passengers will receive cushions. This is intended to ensure an enhanced level of comfort during long journeys.

The most significant feature will be the new screen panel mounted on the roof, named 'Prive Screen' by the company. This screen can open downwards when necessary, allowing rear passengers to enjoy entertainment during travel by using it as a private display.

It is expected that this special edition will use the same battery packs and electric motors as the current Windsor EV model. The Windsor EV is available in two battery options: 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh. According to the company's statements, the smaller battery provides a range of 332 kilometers on a full charge, while the larger one offers up to 449 kilometers. Both options are equipped with a front-axle electric motor that generates 136 hp and 200 Nm of torque.

Although it is difficult to state the exact price of this special edition before its official launch, it is anticipated that the price may be slightly higher than the current model due to the new features and updates. Currently, the MG Windsor EV is available in the price range of 14.70 lakh to 19 lakh rupees (excluding taxes) for the top configuration.
