Fergana Region Discusses Cooperation with Saudi Packaging Company

The Fergana Region is exploring partnership opportunities with the Saudi company Al Sharq Flexible Packaging Factories in the field of packaging material production, implementation of modern technologies, and realization of joint investment projects.

Prospects for such cooperation were discussed during a meeting in Riyadh between the Governor of the Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, and Mohammed Hussein Irfan, who is the general manager of the sales and marketing company. These negotiations took place as part of the regional governor's working trip to Saudi Arabia.

The parties exchanged views on potentially mutually beneficial cooperation, which could include the exchange of production experience and advanced technologies, as well as the organization of joint packaging production.

Al Sharq Flexible Packaging Factories, founded in 1976, specializes in the production of flexible packaging. It produces polyethylene and other polymer films, as well as packaging for various types of industrial products.

According to the information provided, the company uses European technologies in its production processes, and its products meet international quality standards, being supplied to both domestic and foreign markets.

Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized the importance of the packaging industry for production and trade supply chains. He noted that high-quality packaging materials contribute to preserving product quality, increasing competitiveness, and expanding access to global markets.

During the meeting, the Saudi partners were also presented with information about the industrial and investment potential of the Fergana Region, as well as the conditions for doing business in the region.

One of the proposed directions was establishing business ties between Al Sharq Flexible Packaging Factories and Lion Print, an enterprise operating in the Buvaydas district of the Fergana Region. The parties considered the possibility of launching joint projects for the production of packaging products.

The regional governor invited representatives of the Saudi firm to visit Fergana to familiarize themselves with the activities of local enterprises and assess cooperation opportunities on the ground. After the meeting, both sides expressed interest in continuing discussions on potential areas of interaction.
