A joint venture between Uzbekistan and Saratov Oblast is preparing for launch. This was announced by Governor Roman Busargin during a meeting with Botirjon Asadov, the representative of Uzbekistan in Russia.
Roman Busargin emphasized that the region possesses significant potential for implementing promising projects and launching new production capacities. He specified that a joint venture for the production of spare parts for diesel locomotive engines is planned to be opened in November-December of this year.
During the conversation, it was also noted that the volume of external trade turnover of Saratov Oblast with Uzbekistan has significantly increased in recent years. In 2025, this turnover grew by 2.4%. Furthermore, there is a serious growth in the oblast's exports to Uzbekistan, where mainly black metal, fertilizers, inorganic chemicals, and petroleum products are supplied.
The presence of all necessary conditions for expanding cooperation between Saratov Oblast and Uzbekistan was also recorded, not only in the spheres of industry, trade, and agriculture, but also in the humanitarian field.
