Elon Musk's company is expanding its presence in the Indian market, focusing not on launching new car models but on strengthening its market position. The company plans to open an experience center in Noida, which will be the third sales point in the Delhi-NCR region.
The company announced this on October 9th. The experience center will be located in Skymark One, Sector 98 Noida. Visitors will be able to test drive the company's vehicles and place orders, although the opening date for the center has not yet been announced.
Noida will be the first city in the state of Uttar Pradesh to have a Tesla experience center. Within the National Capital Region, this will be the third such center. Previously, centers were located in Delhi, Aerocity, and Gurugram, on Sohna Road.
The opening of the third store will allow the company to reach more consumers. However, at this stage, the center will perform exclusively retail functions; repair and maintenance services will not be provided there. Tesla's position in the Indian market continues to strengthen, especially after the launch of the Model Y at a new price.
In the Indian market, Tesla sells the Model Y (rear-wheel drive) and the Model Y L (Model Y L). The 5-seater Model Y is a premium rear-wheel-drive vehicle offering a claimed range of 500 kilometers. This car is equipped with folding seats and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
As for the Model Y L, it is an all-wheel-drive SUV designed for three rows of seating, accommodating six people. Its claimed range is 681 kilometers, and the company claims it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. Both models receive new features through OTA updates and also have access to the Tesla AI assistant, which operates in several Indian languages.
The price of the Tesla Model Y Premium is 50.89 lakh rupees including all charges, while the Model Y L costs 61.99 lakh rupees including all charges.
