Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman is known for his show 'Shekhar Tonight,' where he often satirizes the government. During one episode, he raised questions directed at the central government, which caused significant resonance. This incident occurred against the backdrop of a major scandal related to the leak of NEET examination materials, when Shekhar Suman subtly pointed out government shortcomings.
Recently, he commented in detail on this situation in an interview with The Lallantop. When asked if he was afraid to launch his show 'Shekhar Tonight' in a new format filled with satire, the actor gave a direct answer: 'Whoever is afraid goes home. The truth must be shown as it is.'
During the interview, his phrase was mentioned: 'If the questioner is a smart Naxalite, then yes, I am a smart Naxalite.' To this comment, the actor-producer responded that if the class monitor makes a mistake, the students will ask him, regardless of who he is. He emphasized that this does not matter.
Furthermore, another phrase from his show was quoted, stating that to see the pace of the current government, one should pay attention to the cases of humorous videos created about Mr. Modi being removed from the internet. Shekhar Suman explained that this happens and noted the need for accountability. He added: 'Whether it is someone else, the point is that the video is uploaded in one place and deleted in another in a moment. But the problem is that when this affects the population, it rises up. The people raise their voices, and history will never forget these two moments.'
