Germany to provide Uzbekistan with 71 million euros as part of bilateral cooperation

Germany commits to allocating 71 million euros to Uzbekistan under bilateral development agreements.

This financial commitment was reached following intergovernmental negotiations on October 7, 2026. The parties agreed to continue joint projects in several areas.

Priority areas of cooperation include sustainable economic development, social protection, strengthening the rule of law, climate policy, and energy. These agreements mark a new stage of interaction between the two states, which has lasted for over thirty years.

Germany views Uzbekistan as a significant partner in international development. The allocated funds will be directed towards supporting joint initiatives in the agreed priority areas. Discussions confirmed the intention of Berlin and Tashkent to continue joint work on issues of economic and social development, as well as climate and energy.
