Price increases for some medicines detected in pharmacies in Tashkent
During inspections involving 'mystery shoppers' in the city of Tashkent, it was found that some medicines were being sold in pharmacies at six times the established price. This was reported by the Competition Commission.
Specifically, at the 'Shunqorlar' MCHZ pharmacy, the drug 'Polimik' was offered at 70 thousand soms instead of the set price of 12.8 thousand soms, and 'Convulex' was priced at 395 thousand soms compared to the standard price of 66.5 thousand soms. These medications cost 5.5 and almost 6 times more than the official cost in the pharmacy.
It was also discovered that at the 'Muno farm' pharmacy, 'Stimuloton' tablets were sold for 295 thousand soms instead of 50.7 thousand soms, and at 'Hosil farm', 'Slideron' was sold at a price of 349 thousand soms against an initial cost of 115.7 thousand soms.
Furthermore, cases of selling some medicines at inflated prices were also recorded in the pharmacies 'City farm', 'Amir farm trade', 'Feruza nur med', 'Leader pharmgroup', 'Pharm s golden', and 'Ruslan buyuk farm'.
The Commission issued directives to the pharmacies regarding the identified cases and also requested the authorized body to re-examine licensing requirements to ensure compliance with standards.
It is emphasized that control over the prices of pharmaceutical products will continue through activities involving 'mystery shoppers'.
