Apple is preparing to hold its large-scale event, which is scheduled for October 13th. A number of important announcements are expected during this event. This takes place a month after the company introduced its long-awaited iPhone 18 Pro series.
Apple's Vice President of Sales (SVP) Greg Joswiak posted a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter), writing: 'Welcome Home, October 13th,' accompanied by a video clip. This clip shows the Apple logo made from wool, indicating an upcoming smart home device launch, although the company has not yet disclosed details about this gadget.
Experts suggest that instead of a traditional event, Apple will hold a so-called 'experiential event,' similar to the one held at the launch of the MacBook Neo earlier this year. According to media reports, Apple has invited selected companies to this event.
According to information from the invitations, the Apple event will take place in New York on October 13th. The slogan of the new event, 'Welcome Home,' hints that the company plans to introduce a smart home device. The launch of a new home hub, which is essentially an updated version of the HomePod, is expected.
Information received from media sources indicates that the future HomePod will be equipped with a 6-inch display and will be available in two versions: one designed for wall mounting and the other for use on a regular table. It is also reported that this HomePod will run on tvOS called HomeOS and will support Apple applications and widgets.
Furthermore, the HomePod will feature a camera that will allow users to make video calls and play video content. Additional details about this device will be presented soon.
