16-year-old tennis player Aleksandra Barmicheva won the title of the J200 tournament champion held in Istanbul and earned 200 points in the ITF junior ranking for it.

According to a statement from the press service of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation, Uzbek athlete Aleksandra Barmicheva won the J200 tournament in Istanbul, earning 200 points for the ITF junior ranking. This tournament, part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, was held from September 28 to October 4 in the city of Istanbul, Turkey.

Sixty-four female players participated in the women's singles category. On her way to the championship, Barmicheva defeated several strong opponents. The match in the quarterfinals against Ayshe Balga, a Turkish tennis player ranked 83rd in the ITF world junior ranking, was particularly intense.

Despite losing the first set to 3:6, the Uzbek representative managed to win the next two sets with scores of 6:3 and 6:4, advancing to the semi-finals. Before the tournament, Barmicheva was ranked 278th in the ITF world junior ranking.

The championship title at the J200 tournament brought her 200 ranking points, which gives her the opportunity to rise in the rankings at the next update. J200 tournaments are considered high-level international competitions, following J500 and J300. This victory is Barmicheva's best achievement at this level; previously, she had also been champion at J100 tournaments.
