GWM launches Haval H7 in Brazil with R$ 261 thousand price as an off-road option to the H6

GWM has expanded its SUV lineup in the Brazilian market with the introduction of the new Haval H7, which arrives in a unique configuration for the price of R$ 261,000. This model uses the same platform as the H6 and incorporates a plug-in hybrid mechanical system.

The main distinction between the Haval H7 and the H6 lies in its design, which features a more square shape, reminiscent of the robust style of the H9. This duality allows GWM to offer both an adventurous-looking SUV and another with a more traditional profile, aiming to meet different consumer profiles.

In terms of dimensions, the Haval H7 has a length of 4.80 meters, a width of 1.95 meters, a height of 1.84 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.74 meters. Its trunk accommodates 586 liters, a capacity that can be increased to 1,404 liters if the seat is folded down.

GWM highlighted that the price of R$ 261 thousand places the Haval H7 within the range eligible for full IPVA exemption for flex hybrid vehicles in the state of São Paulo. Furthermore, it offers a five-year warranty without mileage limits, and the high-voltage battery has an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer coverage.

The propulsion system of the Haval H7 differs from the H6 by combining a 1.5 turbo flex engine with two electric units, one dedicated to each axle, generating a total of 370 hp and 77 kgfm. The transmission used is the four-speed DHT gearbox.

The battery has a capacity of 27.5 kWh, providing an electric range of 92 km according to the INMETRO cycle. Regarding consumption, with ethanol it achieves 7.7 km/l in the city and 6.9 km/l on the highway; using gasoline, the consumption is 11.9 km/l in urban areas and 10.1 km/l on the highway.

A significant change is the inclusion of a rear electric motor equipped with a differential lock, which assists in off-road conditions. The vehicle has seven driving modes: Normal, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Mud, and AWD. Its capabilities include a ground clearance of 22 cm, approach angle of 24°, departure angle of 31.5°, and wading depth of 58 cm, positioning the Haval H7 as a link between conventional SUVs and the jeeps of the Tank division.

The unique version of the GWM Haval H7 comes equipped with expected luxuries for a brand's SUV. The Brazilian package eliminates chrome finishes, featuring a black grille, wheels, and emblems. The driver's seat has 12 electric adjustment positions and three memories, while the passenger seat has four-way adjustment. Front occupants enjoy seat and backrest ventilation.

The instrument panel consists of a 12.3-inch screen, complemented by a 9-inch head-up display, and the multimedia center has 15.6 inches. Despite the presence of the center, the driver maintains access to crucial functions via physical buttons. The equipment set includes dual-zone air conditioning, six airbags, ADAS package, 220V outlet in the trunk, Wi-Fi router for up to eight devices, connected services, and a spare tire.

GWM will make the Haval H7 available in seven shades. The car can already be purchased at dealerships or through the brand's official store on Mercado Livre.
