The Afghan airline Kam Air and Uzbekistan Airways have expanded their cooperation, allowing passengers to purchase single tickets with a layover in Tashkent for flights to and from Kabul.
According to a statement from Uzbekistan Airways, tickets for these routes began selling in September 2026. As part of this partnership, Kam Air passengers can travel through Tashkent and connect with Uzbekistan Airways flights serving fifteen destinations.
The network of destinations includes cities such as Seoul, Paris, Urumqi, Astana, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Minsk, Phuket, Nizhny Novgorod, Riga, Tbilisi, Milan, Delhi, and Kazan.
Passengers transiting can check in, and their baggage will be checked through to the final destination, simplifying the transfer process at Tashkent airport.
Tickets for connecting flights via Tashkent are available for purchase on the official Uzbekistan Airways website, through the airline's mobile application, at Uzbekistan Airways retail sales points, and through the carrier's official agents. This agreement expands travel opportunities for passengers traveling between Kabul and destinations in the Uzbekistan Airways network using Tashkent as a transit hub.
