How to make a natural night gel from butterfly pea flowers and flaxseeds instead of expensive creams

As we age, the natural production of collagen in the skin slows down, leading to wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging facial features. However, these problems can appear even earlier. As a result, women often spend significant amounts of money on expensive collagen serums or night creams containing chemical components. Instead of buying such costly products, you can prepare a 100% natural night gel at home using flaxseeds and blue butterfly pea flowers.

Flaxseeds contain omega-3 fatty acids and natural mucilage, which help strengthen and firm the skin. Butterfly pea flowers contain antioxidants called anthocyanins, which accelerate collagen production. When this product is applied before bed, wrinkles disappear, and the skin becomes velvety and elastic. A simple instruction for its preparation is provided below.

Ingredients

The following ingredients are needed for preparation: 6-8 fresh or dried butterfly pea flowers, 1.5 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds, 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel (organic or store-bought), 3-4 drops of almond oil or one Vitamin E capsule.

Preparation Method

First, bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan, then add the butterfly pea flowers and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the water turns dark blue. After that, strain the flowers and remove them.

Add 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds to this blue water and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until the liquid turns into a viscous/thick gel resembling white fibrous material. Then turn off the heat, and while the mixture is still warm, squeeze it through a cotton cloth or a fine sieve to obtain the blue flax gel. It is important to strain while the mixture is warm, as it becomes thicker when it cools.

Add 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel and the oil from 1 Vitamin E capsule to the strained cold blue gel. Thoroughly whisk the mixture with a spoon until a smooth night gel is obtained.

This gel should be stored in a small glass container in the refrigerator for 10-15 days. Every day before bed, gently massage it onto a clean face in upward motions for 2 minutes and leave it overnight.
