In the concluding quarter (July-September, or the second quarter of FY27), mutual funds from Invesco, Motilal Oswal, and HSBC demonstrated the highest growth among large and mid-sized asset managers. Their quarterly Assets Under Management (AUM) grew by 10 percent or more, significantly exceeding the industry average growth rate of 5 percent.
Meanwhile, the largest asset managers continued to account for the main volume of growth in the industry. SBI MF, ICICI Prudential MF, and Nippon India showed the fastest absolute growth in the second quarter. SBI MF's AUM increased by 53,146 crore rupees, representing 4.2 percent, reaching 13.3 trillion rupees, as the company maintained its position as the largest player in the mutual fund market.
ICICI Prudential MF, which ranks second among asset managers, added 44,263 crore to its assets under management. Furthermore, the new player Abakkus MF showed the fastest growth, as its AUM jumped by 81 percent quarterly, reaching 10,100 crore rupees. Trust MF and Helios MF also achieved significant growth, with their quarterly AUM increasing by 30 percent.
