Ajay Devgn's new film, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, has established itself as a blockbuster. This third and final installment of the Drishyam franchise in Hindi is setting box office records. The film received a very strong start and successfully collected at the box office during the first weekend, while also maintaining its popularity on weekdays.
Analyzing the revenue chart for Drishyam 3, the movie shows an overall positive trend. After an opening collection of 62 crore, the film became the highest-grossing film in Ajay Devgn's career. In the first weekend, Drishyam exceeded 150 crore. However, there was a significant drop in collections in subsequent working days, although the film easily overcame the challenge of Monday.
Typically, substantial discounts are offered on tickets on Tuesdays, ranging from 99 to 149 rupees, which often brings significant profit to many films. However, it seems that this did not happen with Drishyam 3. According to Sakencilk, on Tuesday, the fifth day of screening, the film earned a net income of 19 crore. Nevertheless, the total collection over five days reached 216.50 crore rupees.
Around 16 thousand shows were scheduled for Tuesday, with an occupancy rate of 23%. Regarding the worldwide collection, Drishyam 3 has earned a total of 341.30 crore so far. This is comparable to the lifetime collection of the previous series installment, Drishyam 2, which was around 342–345 crore. Thus, it is expected that Drishyam 3 will easily surpass the lifetime collection of its predecessor.
Currently, reaching the 500 crore mark for Drishyam 3 seems quite probable, as no other films are scheduled for release in theaters during the week. When the new wave of releases begins, it will be with Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 on October 15, followed by a series of other movies on October 16. Drishyam 3 still has a whole week left. It will be interesting to see if Ajay Devgn achieves his first film in his career to collect 500 crore.
