Tiger spotted on road between Alwar and Jaipur; authorities close highway

A tiger that escaped from the Sirsa Tiger Reserve reached the village of Tanagaji on Tuesday night. The animal traveled along a route passing by the Tanagaji State College and approached a police station.

Around 9:00 PM, drivers noticed the tiger crossing the road, which caused sudden commotion among traffic participants. People stopped their vehicles and began filming the animal. Information about the incident was passed to the Sirsa administration, after which the Alwar-Jaipur road route was closed.

Upon receiving information about the tiger approaching the settlement, the police reacted promptly. Police officers arrived at the scene and began preventing people and residents from heading towards the tiger. Local residents were instructed to remain in safe places.

Vigilance has also been increased in the village due to the tiger's movement. The police appealed to residents to exercise extra caution, warning that there is activity of wild animals in the area. Residents are advised to go for walks only after sunrise, and those who take morning or evening runs are urged to be vigilant.

The Sirsa Forest Department team also arrived at the scene to monitor the tiger's activity. The department will track the animal's movements and its direction back into the forest. Because the tiger came close to the village, an atmosphere of fear descended upon the residents of Tanagaji at night.

The Alwar-Jaipur road was closed, and transport was redirected along other routes. Furthermore, residents of villages around Tanagaji were ordered to maintain a state of high alert. Teams from the police, the forest department, and the Sirsa administration continue constant monitoring and close observation of the tiger.
