Kingdom Hearts Collection for PS5 reduces the number of platinum trophies

The release of Kingdom Hearts Collection [I ~ III] for PlayStation 5 introduces significant changes for players aiming to complete all achievements in the games. Unlike previous collections released for PS3 and PS4, the new version will not provide a separate platinum trophy for each game.

According to the achievement lists, this collection will contain only three platinum trophies, which will be tied to Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts III.

This change is due to the fact that the platitudes are now linked to the three main compilations making up the package: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. The other included games are displayed as additional achievement lists in DLC format.

Essentially, this leads to a reduction in the total number of platinum rewards that players can add to their profile after completing the entire saga. This change may particularly affect so-called 'trophy hunters,' as previous versions allowed for separate platitudes in a greater number of franchise games.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I ~ III] will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8, 2026. The digital version on PS5 will become available earlier, starting October 6.
